Adolf Hitler The Early Years Essay - 1503 Words
Adolf Hitler: The Early Years On April 20, 1889, a demon was brought into this world. His name was Adolf Hitler. He was born in the family quarters of the Pommer Inn in Braunau, a small city on the Austrian border. The child was unhealthy and his mother, Klara, worried that young Adolf would not survive. Klara provided much love and attention to her baby, which Adolf would later take advantage of to get what he wanted (Smith 50). There were now five children in the house and everywhere looked there were kids. Because of the constant burden of the children, Alois would escape to a nearby tavern and relieve his discontent by drinking (Walther 144). With Aloisââ¬â¢ unhappiness and increasing drunkenness, he needed someone to take his anger out on and he found this in Alois Jr. Alois would come home from the tavern drunk as usual and beat his oldest son. A year later, fourteen year-old Alois Jr. would run away from home to escape his fatherââ¬â¢s harsh treatment. This put young Adolf, at age seven, next in line for his fatherââ¬â¢s treatment. Alois would become more and more distant from the family and not only would they suffer, but the farm would suffer as well. In July of 1897, Alois would sell the farm because of its nonprofitability and moved from Hafeld to the town of Lambach. At first, Alois seemed pleasant with the familyââ¬â¢s new surroundings, but with the tight space of their home and the Childrenââ¬â¢s increasing maturity,Show MoreRelatedThe Rise Of Adolf Hitler1457 Words à |à 6 Pagespeople who have elected them.
